How to Lose Stubborn Fat

Sometimes it seems no matter how hard you try, you can’t seem to get rid of the body fat. You may have resigned yourself that it just isn’t going to go no matter what you do. Before you give up on a lean, fit body, try some of these tried and true techniques to help you lose stubborn fat.

Try a cleanse

A cleanse program is a great way to rid your body of toxins and gunk, and a great way to accomplish fat loss to give your new plan a boost or to get rid of those last few pounds. While a cleanse is designed to get rid of lurking waste and other yucky stuff, one of the side benefits is weight loss.  You can use a cleanse program to help lose stubborn fat that won't seem to budge.

Get a bathroom scale that measures your percentage of body fat

You may be doing a better job than you thought. If you have been working to lose the fat and most of your excess weight is in one area, you may think you haven’t made any progress when you have. When you exercise, you may increase your muscle mass which weighs more than fat. You will also lose fat from all over your body so that it takes a while to see any difference with your problem areas.

A regular scale will make you think you haven’t lost weight or that you have actually gained when, in fact, you have actually lost body fat! The right scale can let you know that you should continue what you are already doing in order to succeed. A good scale will let you know when you lose stubborn fat, even if you don't see a change in the amount you weigh.

Kick up your exercise routine a notch

You can’t keep performing at the same level and continue to get results. People often plateau after losing a certain amount of weight and can’t lose any more. Your body adjusts to the level of exercise you do and you will have to increase the intensity to get results. You can also lose stubborn fat by adding weights to your workout routine.

Switch to Interval Training for your workouts

This type of training is designed to burn the maximum number of calories in the shortest time. This means switching between different types of exercises for short “intervals”.

You can’t change your DNA, and genetics play a big role in who gains weight and where it deposits. You can, however, try any and every approach to help you lose stubborn fat until you find the right one for you. If you are burning more calories than you are consuming, you are going to lose fat. The only difference is that you must learn the best foods to eat and the type of workout that will help you get the results you want in the shortest time possible!
