How to Lose a Beer
Belly
Developing a beer belly may be the closest a man ever comes to experiencing pregnancy! Regular
drinkers of beer often develop a gut that is extremely large in proportion to their bodies. If you are one of
the many men who wants to lose a beer belly, then the most obvious way to start is to ditch the beer.
If you don’t have the willpower or the
desire to eliminate it completely, then you should at least reduce the amount you drink, or switch to a lighter
version. Following are some tips that will help you lose a beer belly and get you back to your lean, fit
self!
- If you can’t give up the beer
completely, change to light beer. They have far fewer calories and fewer carbs so they will not add as much
to the already existing problem as regular beer will.
- Change your drinking schedule. If you are drinking beer every day,
switch to every other day and fill the void with something healthier. Or, limit your drinking to the
weekends even if you only drink one every day now.
- Eliminate the beer while you do a
cleanse. You shouldn’t stick to a cleanse program for more than one week to prevent dehydration and
elimination of nutrients from your body. Cleansing, or detoxing, is a method that is used to stop cravings
for drugs, alcohols, or unhealthy food choices. This will give you a boost to your change in lifestyle and
make it easier to stop or reduce the amount of beer you drink without making you feel deprived. A great
side effect of cleansing? You’ll lose a little beer belly, too!
- Change your eating habits. Beer isn’t
the only thing that contributes to the fat around the middle and to lose a beer belly you will have to
stop eating sugary or fatty foods as well.
- Cardiovascular and aerobic exercise
is necessary for you to get your heart pumping faster and to burn body fat. Running, swimming, riding a
bicycle, or anything that you can do to keep your heat rate up for thirty minutes a day, five times a week
will help you lose a beer belly.
- Bypass the quick fixes. If you see a
pill advertised that says it can help you lose a beer belly in just a few weeks, then it probably can!
As long as you eat the right foods and do the exercises while you take it! In other words, the diet and
exercise are the part of the plan that is going to get you the results you want.
- Choose a plan designed to burn fat
and build muscle. One of the best ways to lose a beer belly is to lose fat all over your body. The
belly will begin to melt away as you burn fat.
You can’t expect to lose a beer belly
by spending a few weeks improving your lifestyle and then go right back to your same old habits. Not only does a
beer belly look unattractive, make your clothes fit poorly, and make you miserable, it is also unhealthy to have
weight in this area. It will increase your risk of getting adult diabetes, heart disease, and some types of
cancer.
Once you get on track and make the
necessary changes to lose a beer belly, make it a lifestyle change that will last for a
lifetime!
